WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

Our programs inculcate the gender empowerment extensively to enhance the capabilities and skills of the women. Our organization empowers them to access the benefits from government schemes related to livelihood, health, nutrition, education and skill development. We provide technical support to the marginalized women to ensure the women’s participation and active engagement with PRI and village, block, and district level government departments gives them sense of self-worth and enhance the ability to take decision at household and community level. BJUP's approach to women empowerment is both comprehensive and strategic, aiming to tackle the systemic inequalities faced by women, especially those from marginalized backgrounds. They recognize that empowerment goes beyond mere rhetoric and necessitates addressing the multifaceted challenges women encounter. By acknowledging issues like poverty, lack of education, health disparities, and social exclusion, BJUP demonstrates a nuanced understanding of the obstacles to women's advancement. Their strategy of organizing women into their own institutions, such as CBOs and SHGs, fosters solidarity and collective action, providing a platform for women to share experiences and support each other. Moreover, BJUP prioritizes education about rights and entitlements, empowering women with the knowledge to advocate for themselves and challenge injustices. Central to BJUP's approach is the belief in women as change agents. By equipping them with skills and knowledge, they empower women to address pressing social issues like gender discrimination, child marriage, human trafficking, and domestic violence within their communities. Through soft skills development, financial literacy, vocational training, and entrepreneurship programs, BJUP not only enhances women's employability but also nurtures their confidence and self-worth. This emphasis on practical empowerment ensures that women are not just beneficiaries but active participants in their own liberation. Furthermore, BJUP recognizes the importance of decision-making autonomy for women, both within their households and communities. By equipping women with education, skills, and awareness, they enable them to make informed decisions that impact their lives and those of their families. This autonomy is essential for breaking the cycle of dependency and fostering agency among women. So far, 2000+ adolescent and women empowered through our initiatives.
